Sir Clements Markham: Royal Geographical Society talk

10 May

Today my presentation was shown as part of the Royal Geographical Society’s ‘Be Inspired’ series, you can see on their website and YouTube here https://www.rgs.org/geography/online-lectures/be-inspired-sir-clements-markham/ It was followed by a Q&A.

I think it went well.

    Isobel,

Well done, such an interesting talk. Jane came to me and we watched together on my iPad, hence a bit of confusion. The first question about education was from Jane and the second about altitude sickness was from me but when I changed the name from Jane to me it was changed for both questions!

What a splendid thing fir you to have done and you did it so well.

    Best wishes

    Belinda

We felt it was a very fair assessment of Sir Clements Markham ably presented by Isobel.
He sounded a difficult but extremely capable man who maybe lost his way in later life.
A shame there is no photograph of his wife as she sounded an amazing woman.
    Thank you Isobel
